The news about the ‘US government banned Xiaomi‘ was on the internet since January this year. Later, the United States court removed Xiaomi from the blacklist. Now the new report on this case has surfed online.

Yesterday, Xiaomi Group and the US Department of Defense once again issued a Joint Status Report (JSR) on the military inventory lawsuit. According to the documents, the US government has acknowledged the procedural justice issues on the military list and is willing to settle with the Xiaomi Group and remove the Xiaomi Group from the military list.

We believe that the decision of these two organizations to include the company as a “Chinese military company” recognized by the NDAA has procedural unfairness and factual identification errors. To protect the interests of the company’s global users, partners, employees, and shareholders request the court to declare the decision illegal and revoke the decision.

On January 14, The Trump administration has blacklisted nine Chinese companies for their alleged connections with the Chinese military. Following this move, US investors were no longer able to invest in those nine companies.

Meanwhile, in late January, Xiaomi filed a lawsuit against the US Department of Defense and Treasury. In this respect, the company claimed that Xiaomi has always followed legal and assent functions and abided by the relevant laws and rules of the place of operation.

Then on March 13, Xiaomi issued a statement stating that it was an arbitrary decision to include Xiaomi on the list of Chinese military-related companies and the court agreed with this statement and removed the tech giant from the blacklist.
