Samsung headed, Xiaomi ranked 2nd in European smartphone market last month

Later in April this year, Counterpoint released an Indian smartphone shipment record of Q1 2021. According to the reportXiaomi led the market in Q1 2021 with a 26% shipment share. It was reported that five out of the top 10 smartphone models in the country were from Xiaomi.

Now the company has announced the market share of various smartphone brands in the European market in April 2021. However, Counterpoint said that April 2021 is the worst month for smartphone sales in Europe in the last ten years.

As per the report, the Chine tech giant, Xiaomi shared 21% of the market and ranked second. Whereas, with a 35% market share, Samsung led the European smartphone market in April 2021. And, with the market share of 20%, 6%, and 2%, Apple, Oppo, and OnePlus ranked third, fourth, and fifth respectively.

When we talk about each brand’s share growth ranking, when with a year-on-year increase of 216%, Xioami ranked third, OnePlus gained the first position with a year-to-year increase of 749%. On the other hand, with the YOY increase of 314%, 120%, and 80%, Oppo, Apple, and Samsung achieved second, fourth, and fifth place respectively.
