Now our folks over at Chinese media reveal some of the specifications of the Mi 12 Ultra. In December 2020, Xiaomi Mi 11 became the first-ever smartphone to equip Snapdragon 888 chipset, now Mi 12 Ultra will be the first to use the upcoming Snapdragon 895 SoC.

This chip will use ARM’s latest cortex v9 architecture CPU. The GPU is also upgraded from Adreno 660 to Adreno 730. Previously, we have been reported that Mi 12 series will continue to adopt high-quality screens.

It will go a step further, using an LTPO adaptive refresh rate screen which can achieve 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate adjustment. It means that the refresh rate of the smartphone will be able to automatically adjust between 1 – 120Hz depending on the usage scenario. This will make the device save more battery.

Moreover, at the rear, the phone may have a rectangular design similar to SLR, could use a self-developed rectangular lens. It could feature a 20MP, 50MP, and 12MP (10x optical zoom) triple camera setup.

On the front, it could have a dual-camera setup including 32MP and 8MP cameras with the support of a 4K selfie, thanks to the new generation powerful kernel driver and the excellent algorithm tuning.
