The CEO doesn’t mention where this figure came from, whether they apply worldwide or to Xiaomi’s home market of China only. However, this is a significant number of users for a phone that is more than 4 years old, most especially an Android one.

Besides, the Mi 6 is the last flagship with a small screen. It comes with a 5.15-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1080, a 3350mAh battery, Snapdragon 835 SoC, and more. In the camera department, this device uses a 12MPAI dual Photograph.

When we talk about its software, it came pre-installed with the Android 7 (Nougat) based MIUI 8 operating system. Currently, the device is running on Android 9 (Pie).

Later in May this year, the smartphone has received an official LineageOS 18.1 build on top of Android 11. Alongside the standard Android 11 features, the LingeageOS 18.1 brings a number of new features and improvements to the table.

Some of the main highlights include a built-in backup feature, revamped Recorder, and music apps, support for dark mode on all LineageOS apps, support for icon packs, and much more. If you are a Mi 6 smartphone user and want to taste Android 11, click here to download it.
