On April 27, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi officially launched its first-ever gaming smartphone, Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition in China. Now, it seems that the brand is taking a step forward to under-display camera technology.

The latest now is the under-display camera. Xiaomi already has plans to launch Mi Mix 4, which will be Xiaomi’s first UDC technology smartphone. In addition, the Mi Mix Fold 2 is also said to equip the same tech.

Meanwhile, according to a piece of new information, a Redmi smartphone may soon arrive with an under-display camera. A reliable tipster, DigitalChatStation says that the upcoming device will have a 6.7-inch display with an FHD+ resolution.

His post further claims that the phone could be introduced next year. Besides DigitalChatStation, some tipsters say that this smartphone could be from the Redmi K50 series, which has been already confirmed by Redmi’s general manager.
