The new prices are now live on all the company’s official online retailers. It looks like the new prices will soon be reflected on Amazon and Flipkart as well. It should be the same and maybe even more at offline retail stores.

The following are the names of televisions along with the old and new prices. The list also mentions the amount of difference.

Reason Behind the Price Hike

It is said that the main reason for the price hike is due to the prolonged shortage of ‘Open Cell’ (panel) shortage globally. ‘Open Cell’ accounts for almost 70% of the cost of a television. India mostly imports them from China and Vietnam.

This, coupled with an unprecedented increase in shipping charges, has affected almost all the technology players, including Xiaomi.
