Xiaomi may launch a new flagship phone equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus SoC

The digital blogger Digital Chat Station broke the news that Xiaomi is polishing the Qualcomm SM8475, which is Qualcomm’s flagship processor to be commercialized in the second half of the year, named Snapdragon 8 Plus, which is a slightly upgraded version of Snapdragon 8.

Compared with the Snapdragon 8, the biggest upgrade of the Snapdragon 8 Plus is the use of TSMC’s 4nm process (the Snapdragon 8 uses Samsung’s 4nm process).

Previously, an industry insider Mobile Chip Daren broke the news that the Snapdragon 8 Plus, which is manufactured by TSMC, will be delivered in the second quarter of 2022 at the earliest.

Moreover, the CPU frequency is 2.99GHz, and it is still a “1+3+4” three-cluster architecture. It consists of super-large core Cortex X2, large-core Cortex A710, and small-core Cortex A510, and the GPU has been slightly upgraded.
