As shown in the figure, PCIe 5.0-related technology manufacturers that cooperate with AMD include Phison, Micron, ASUS, and Corsair. Both AMD and Intel’s next-generation platforms are expected to support PCIe 5.0 SSDs when they hit the market in November.

The current SSD test model equipped with the Phison E26 PCIe 5.0 main control chip has reached an ultra-fast read speed of 10 GB/s. Now, manufacturers are verifying a new generation of materials and NAND flash memory particles, so that the overall performance is further improved, and the read speed can reach more than 12 GB / s.

At present, it is known that PCIe 5.0 SSD has the common 2280 specification, the widened 2580 specification, and the lengthened and widened 25110 specifications. AMD’s new-generation X670 motherboard has been confirmed to support these three sizes of PCIe 5.0 SSD.
