Apple’s iPhone 14 series adds new switch sound: Report

Steven Aquino, an assistive technology expert, found that Apple’s just-launched new iPhone 14 series has added a new accessibility feature that allows the new device to play sounds when it is turned on and off, similar to the iconic Mac’s iconic feature start-up sound.

The sound file has been added in iOS 16 RC, and developer Steve Moser noted that the feature will be located in the Settings app under Accessibility – Power On and Power Off Sounds, designed to make it easier for users to know if the iPhone is turned on or off.

Moreover, Apple unveiled the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max at a special event held at the Steve Jobs Theater, with two of the Pro models receiving relatively modest awards. A major upgrade, adding a pill-shaped, constant screen display, a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera, an A16 processor, and more.

Furthermore, Apple officially announced that starting September 13, iOS 16 will be available for iPhone 8 or later models and iPhone SE (2nd generation) or later models which feature a redesigned Lock screen, a new messaging app, and more.
